anybody here know how to write a song im gonna need a few pointers...seeming that im 14 and has never done this before.

You may need to be a little more specific. If you mean writing lyrics, I would say try and find some inspiration. Something that you feel strongly about and write down your feelings on paper. But don't just write down a bunch of meaningless words that sound cool or sound like emo lyrics, because then their is no emotion behind your words. Usually the lyrics that you write are intended to touch other people in a special way so that they may understand how you feel about the topic your wrote on. If your looking for inspiration just go for a hike or something by yourself so you can really think about what you want to write on. As for writing music, Im not the greatest on that but what I usually do is just fool around on the guitar untill I find a catchy lick or something I can take off with. Then you try and find different parts to it that will really make the song come together. Adding in random parts that don't really flow with the song make it sound like crap. But by trying different chord progressions you can find some really cool stuff. And mess around with octaves and harmonics, those are really easy and they sound quite good.
